Awesome costumes, awesome skits, amazing prizes and WORLD FIRSTS - Animania Festival Weekend will be HUGE for Cosplay and Cosplay fans alike!
The winner of the upcoming first-ever Australian Preliminary for the World Cosplay Summit will place for the 2009 competition. This winning team will be the first Aussie representatives in this international competition! Australia's participation has now also been officially announced - click here to read more.
Based on the costumes we've seen so far just in the Preselections, we're really excited about what's coming next! All Duos must present TWO costumes, so we'll be seeing some new awesome costumes at the upcoming Animania Festival Weekend as all the finalists compete for the title! Also don't forget that if you have an awesome costume planned for this year's Festival, there is still a last chance for you to enter into the WCS Preliminary! One more Preselection Round will be held on the Saturday of Animania Weekend. Head to the WCS Preliminary page to find out more - entries close August 1st.
Finally, a WARNING for all potential entrants. It has come to our attention that some entrants have been getting professional/external contractors to develop their costumes for them in efforts to secure a place in the competition. Please note that this is UNACCEPTABLE.
